Fire Performance

Fire is one of the primordial elements of our culture, creating an atmosphere that invites reflection, offering both warmth and a sense of safety.

Our fascination with fire's charm and playful nature has endured through time. In indigenous cultures, fire is not merely a source of warmth; it embodies sacred traditions, passed down through generations, igniting rituals that kindle spiritual connections with the natural world.

Poi holds deep cultural significance in Māori tradition, used in kapa haka to tell stories, enhance coordination, and preserve cultural practices. Inspired by traditional poi, fire poi emerged as a contemporary adaptation. While it incorporates some elements, fire poi is a distinct performance form, honouring its Māori roots while expressing a unique, modern artistry.

I began my journey as a fire artist, Loop DaFlames, in 2007, and I have always maintained a strong reverence for this awe-inspiring element.

Vertical Dance Switzerland Artist Festival

Vertical Dance

Vertical dance is a captivating art form where we defy gravity by hanging in harnesses on ropes and transforming walls into our dance floor. This breathtaking performance allows us to explore movement in a three-dimensional space.

As we ascend, descend, and traverse vertical surfaces, we create mesmerizing visuals that challenge your perceptions of gravity and movement. The walls become a canvas for expression, enabling us to interact with our environment in dynamic and unexpected ways. Vertical dance immerses viewers in a world of wonder, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and every performance sparks a sense of awe and inspiration.
