Nature-Based Coaching weaves the wisdom of te taiao, the natural world, into personal growth, fostering deep connections with yourself, others, the earth, and the greater web of life. It highlights the profound impact of nature on our overall wellbeing - supporting mental, physical, social, and spiritual health, while cultivating a sense of responsibility for Papatūānuku, our earth, and her future.
This practice is about stepping out of ‘doing’ and into ‘being.’ In nature, we attune to the rhythms of the seasons, the changing world around us, and the shifts within ourselves. Te taiao becomes our kaiako (teacher), guiding us back to intuition, creativity, and self-trust. It’s an invitation to slow down, listen deeply, and rediscover the voice within.
Time in nature sharpens our bodily awareness and senses. The landscapes we move through reflect inner landscapes, revealing insights that often get lost in the rush of daily life. You’ll discover what truly nurtures you - and what does not.
This approach offers clarity on your hidden potentials, helps you recognize the paths available to you, and supports confident, intentional choices. With this awareness, you can take meaningful steps toward positive change - not just for yourself, but for the world around you.

What to
expect
In each session, you lead the way. I will help support you, but the agenda is yours. As we take a hīkoi (walk) or noho (sit) in nature, together we explore your thoughts, feelings, and needs, with te taiao as our guide. Our focus is on bridging the gap between where you are now and where you wish to be- uncovering solutions, and discovering the steps that help you chart your course forward.

This process considers not only your personal development but also your connection to your whānau (community) and your relationship to the whenua (land).
We’ll draw on practices from ecotherapy, mindfulness and sensory awareness to help you connect with your body and become more aware of certain areas that respond to stress or emotions.

Te wā -Time Investment
Whether you choose a one-off session or a series of sessions, the structure is flexible and guided by your goals. All sessions are held in the outdoors - weekly, fortnightly, or monthly - based on your preference.
Wāhi - Location
Sessions are based in Te Tai o Aorere- Motueka & Nelson Tasman region, with flexibility to choose other locations that resonate with your journey.
